When a little princess Surentara prayed to the God of War, she expected to save her kingdom and herself from her father's abuse. She got neither- her kingdom fell moments after her God answered, while she got blamed for its destruction. With the Sorcerer King's return looming over its survivors, Suren joins sides with the War God's legion and declares war.

I'm Suren (she/they),blasian, nonbiary artist and writer from the Netherlands You'll see me make art of stories I write (the old-fashioned way, not whatever chatgpt is doing) and drawing original characters from the stories I make. I have a mixed Suriname, Indian and West-African background and the histories of my cultures and life experience can be found in my stories.In 2017, my personal situation turned dire. I was surviving a toxic family household, and any chance of escape and survival was rapidly diminishing with its situation worsening. What once was a lifetime of navigating a family system on eggshells, it seemed now even that no longer was an option.And so, I turned my desperation into something tangible. I began speaking out about what I wen through in the only escape I had left- art. This is what became the foundation of Jade Kingdoms, a form of catharsis but also a desperate final act at the time in which I believed this was all I was able to do before the lights went out.Yet...that moment never came.Jade Kingdoms was written on May 8th 2017, and its first chapter launched on August 1st 2017. As I wrote the story, I accompanied its heavy truth with art depicting the characters and world. And it seemed...to be received well. What I deemed would be the final deed I'd ever do, never cashed in on that bet. Jade Kingdoms expanded, and so did my life. This went on until 2022, where I felt the story no longer needed a book form to be told- but rather transform its tale into the best visual media I could think off, which was a webcomic.After a few drafts, Jade Kingdoms has become the story you see today- a horror fantasy where a little princess Suren turns to a exiled God of War to ask him to help save her kingdom before her father, the Burning-Light Emperor, destroys them all. And as was sadly the case for Suren...her plea came too late.One more thing though- Jade Kingdoms updates SLOWLY so I can actually manage it better.
